Joining Dr. Lawrence Reeves (Florida Medical Entomology Laboratory, University of Florida) and Jim Will (Maricopa County Environmental Services Department, Vector Control Division) during fieldwork in Arizona's Sky Islands. Their research examines mosquito diversity across these isolated mountain ranges, where unique habitats support distinctive mosquito communities. We had the opportunity to participate in field collections and learn about ongoing efforts to document mosquito biodiversity and improve vector surveillance in the region.
